About Reconnect Learning
Reconnect Learning provides personalised alternative provision, home tuition, EBSNA support, SEND-informed education, mentoring and reintegration for children and young people who need a different route back into learning.
Experience working with children and young people across education and learner support.
Trust and consistency create the foundation for engagement and learning.
Safeguarding, safer recruitment and professional accountability underpin delivery.
Attendance, engagement, confidence and learning progress are monitored.
Why Reconnect Learning Exists
Children and young people may struggle to access education because of EBSNA, SEND, SEMH needs, anxiety, persistent absence, exclusion risk, disrupted education or difficult previous experiences of school.
Reconnect Learning looks beyond attendance figures and behaviour. We work to understand what is creating the barrier and build a practical pathway that supports engagement, learning, confidence and future progression.
Our Purpose
To reconnect young people with education, confidence and opportunity through personalised programmes that strengthen engagement, resilience and future readiness.
Every young person should have access to education that recognises their needs, builds on their strengths and creates a realistic route towards achievement.
Relationships first. Every learner matters. Safety and trust. Honest communication. Meaningful progress. Positive futures.
Experienced Practice
Reconnect Learning is a newly established organisation, but our leadership team brings more than 25 years of combined experience working with children and young people across education, alternative provision, safeguarding, SEND, learner engagement, Functional Skills, GCSE support, attendance and reintegration.
That experience has shaped how Reconnect Learning operates from the outset — combining experienced practice with clear systems for referral, safer recruitment, risk assessment, tutor matching, safeguarding, delivery, reporting, quality assurance and review.
Years of combined team experience working with children and young people across education, safeguarding and learner support.
Leadership & Accountability
Reconnect Learning is led by a three-director team with clear responsibility for safeguarding, partnerships, learner engagement, operations, finance and recruitment.
Ellen leads Reconnect Learning's overall strategy, safeguarding culture, education provision and quality expectations.
Claire leads relationships with families, professionals and partners, with a focus on learner engagement and coordinated support.
Jack oversees operational systems, financial controls, recruitment processes and the safe mobilisation of provision.
Why This Matters Personally
Reconnect Learning was shaped by lived and professional experience of educational disruption, exclusion, undiagnosed needs and returning to learning later in life.
That experience informs a simple principle: a difficult start does not have to define a young person's future. With the right relationship, structure and opportunity, meaningful progress remains possible.
We will be honest about what we can provide, keep safeguarding central, communicate clearly with families and commissioners, and focus on support that is realistic, measurable and meaningful.
Our Flagship Reintegration Programme
Reconnect 12™ is a structured 12-week re-engagement and reintegration programme for young people experiencing persistent absence, EBSNA, exclusion risk, SEND, SEMH barriers or disrupted education.
Build trust, understand barriers, establish a baseline and agree the personalised support plan.
Develop routine, confidence, emotional readiness, engagement and learning behaviours.
Prepare for reintegration, transition or another agreed positive destination.
Safeguarding & Quality
Identity, right-to-work, qualification, reference and enhanced DBS checks support safer recruitment and deployment.
Learner, venue, delivery and safeguarding risks are considered before provision starts and reviewed when circumstances change.
Attendance, engagement, confidence, learning and intended outcomes are reviewed through regular reporting.
Delivery is supported through induction, communication, supervision, quality checks and clear escalation routes.
Learner and parent or carer feedback informs support planning, review and future provision.
Support is designed with the learner's intended next step in mind, including reintegration, training or qualifications.
