Personalised alternative provision supporting young people to re-engage with education

Why Reconnect Learning Exists

Educational disengagement is rarely just about learning

Children and young people may struggle to access education because of EBSNA, SEND, SEMH needs, anxiety, persistent absence, exclusion risk, disrupted education or difficult previous experiences of school.

Reconnect Learning looks beyond attendance figures and behaviour. We work to understand what is creating the barrier and build a practical pathway that supports engagement, learning, confidence and future progression.

What has made education feel inaccessible — and what will help this young person reconnect?

Our Purpose

Education designed around the individual learner

Our Mission

To reconnect young people with education, confidence and opportunity through personalised programmes that strengthen engagement, resilience and future readiness.

Our Vision

Every young person should have access to education that recognises their needs, builds on their strengths and creates a realistic route towards achievement.

Our Values

Relationships first. Every learner matters. Safety and trust. Honest communication. Meaningful progress. Positive futures.

Experienced Practice

More than 25 years of combined experience supporting young people

Reconnect Learning is a newly established organisation, but our leadership team brings more than 25 years of combined experience working with children and young people across education, alternative provision, safeguarding, SEND, learner engagement, Functional Skills, GCSE support, attendance and reintegration.

That experience has shaped how Reconnect Learning operates from the outset — combining experienced practice with clear systems for referral, safer recruitment, risk assessment, tutor matching, safeguarding, delivery, reporting, quality assurance and review.

Why This Matters Personally

Education can be re-entered at any stage

Reconnect Learning was shaped by lived and professional experience of educational disruption, exclusion, undiagnosed needs and returning to learning later in life.

That experience informs a simple principle: a difficult start does not have to define a young person's future. With the right relationship, structure and opportunity, meaningful progress remains possible.

Our commitment

We will be honest about what we can provide, keep safeguarding central, communicate clearly with families and commissioners, and focus on support that is realistic, measurable and meaningful.
