Quality, Safety & Accountability
Reconnect Learning is committed to providing safe, high-quality and purposeful non-school alternative provision informed by the Department for Education's Voluntary National Standards.
Our safeguarding, safer recruitment, curriculum, attendance, risk management, quality assurance and learner-support systems are designed to provide commissioners and families with clear evidence of responsible practice.
The National Framework
The Department for Education's Voluntary National Standards provide a non-statutory framework intended to support greater consistency, quality and oversight across non-school alternative provision.
They support providers, schools, local authorities and commissioners in considering whether provision is safe, suitable, purposeful and focused on positive outcomes for children and young people.
Reconnect Learning uses the standards to inform review of safeguarding, staffing, risk management, curriculum, attendance, learner support, quality assurance and organisational accountability.
Why the Standards Matter
Supporting local authorities and commissioners in understanding and overseeing non-school alternative provision.

Evidence & Quality Assurance
Reconnect Learning maintains policies, records and quality assurance systems designed to support commissioner oversight and organisational accountability.
Commissioner Assurance
Our aim is to provide commissioners, schools, families and professionals with clear information about how provision is planned, delivered, monitored and reviewed.
The Voluntary National Standards are non-statutory standards for non-school alternative provision. Alignment with the standards is not the same as Ofsted registration or registration as an independent school. Reconnect Learning monitors its delivery model and commissioning arrangements accordingly.
