GCSE Tuition & Support
Reconnect Learning provides personalised GCSE tuition for children and young people who need targeted support to close learning gaps, rebuild confidence, strengthen subject knowledge and prepare effectively for assessment.
GCSE support can be adapted for learners experiencing EBSNA, SEND, SEMH needs, persistent absence, disrupted education, low confidence or difficulty accessing consistent subject teaching.
A More Focused Pathway
Some learners need focused support with a small number of priority topics. Others may have experienced prolonged absence, disrupted education, SEND, anxiety or low confidence and need a more gradual route back into GCSE learning.
Our starting point is the learner's current position, confirmed course requirements and intended outcomes. Tuition can then focus on the areas most likely to make a meaningful difference.
This may include rebuilding subject knowledge, strengthening written responses, improving problem-solving, developing revision habits or becoming more confident with examination questions and time pressure.
Effective GCSE tuition is not simply more work. It is the right work, taught clearly and prioritised around the learner's needs and assessment requirements.
Core GCSE Subjects
The learner's exam board, specification, tier, texts and relevant assessment arrangements should be confirmed before tuition begins so support can be accurately aligned to their course.
Support may cover English Language, English Literature or both according to the learner's confirmed programme.
Maths tuition can be aligned to Foundation or Higher tier once the learner's course and exam arrangements are confirmed.
Science tuition may support Combined Science or individual Biology, Chemistry and Physics where tutor expertise and course requirements align.

Reporting
GCSE tuition, examination entry and centre registration are separate arrangements. The learner's exam board, specification, tier, coursework or non-exam assessment requirements, access arrangements, examination venue and fees should be confirmed separately.
Reconnect Learning should only state that it enters learners for GCSE examinations where appropriate approved-centre or formal partnership arrangements are in place.
